Patient Education:
Dental Check-ups
How often should I visit the dentist?
You should ideally visit your dentist twice a year for check-ups and cleanings, although those with plaque build-up, gum disease, or who are predisposed to cavities might need more frequent appointments. Premier Dental will work with you to schedule what works best for your oral health.
Regular check-ups will allow us to discover early signs of tooth decay and look for any changes to your teeth or gums, and for signs of any disease. Regular cleaning will remove the hardened plaque that builds on your teeth.
Preventative care is important. Based on your exam, you may receive additional instructions to follow at home for the care of your teeth and gums. Regular appointments are also a great time for you to ask your own questions about your dental care.
